Reviews
We stayed at the Hotel Fiume last winter and found
it to be perfectly suited to all our needs. The staff were very
friendly and helped us out a lot, giving us information about the
city and things to do, and arranging taxis and tours for us as
well. The hotel is walking distance from the centre but we preferred
to take taxis, especially at night. Be careful however – taxi
drivers in Rome will try to rip you off at every opportunity. If
you stay at this hotel, a taxi from Termini station shouldn’t
cost more than about €10. The breakfast was good and the rooms
were clean, if a little shabby. The hotel is too small to warrant
having a restaurant so after breakfast; you’re on your own!
However, the local area has lots of good restaurants. We’d
stay here again if we ever came back to Rome. I’d recommend
this hotel to families or couples old or young.

Stayed at this lovely hotel in 2006, no complaints
at all. Reasonably priced, clean and pleasant. It’s just
outside the city centre but not too far and well served by public
transport. I’d
recommend walking it anyway though. Rome’s not the best place
for disabled people so I would recommend a place nearer the centre
to anyone who has mobility problems. The staff we’re friendly
and all spoke English very well, although we suspected that some
of their recommendations weren’t completely unbiased. In
any case, the area is full of nice restaurants. All in all, a good
trip and helped by a nice hotel, hassle free and everything we
expected.

Nice hotel, cosy and inexpensive,
just outside of the city centre. Rooms were immaculately clean
and the service was fine. I’d
recommend this place to anyone wanting to see Rome without spending
the earth on a 4 or 5 star. It has a pleasant atmosphere and it’s
in an ideal location.
